Console Table
This table was designed and built for a local Apartment Complex. The customer wanted a cool console table in their common room. I wanted the table to both stand out for uniqueness while fitting in with the apartment’s refined industrial look.
Given the look of the apartment complex, I immediately knew the top of the table needed to show off the wonderful dark character of walnut. For the base, I was drawn to the color black. I also wanted something that both looked heavy and capable, but was mostly empty space. I also wanted to explore asymmetry. I gravitated towards steel as a perfect material to meet all these requirements.
I look forward to playing with more asymmetric designs in the future.
