Laptop Table

This table was designed and built for a local vinyl record company. The owner was interested in simple but functional table to have customers stand or sit (with bar stools) with their laptops while taking in the views. I went for a slightly Art Deco look with clean straight lines. The table is balanced with both color contrast and heaviness of the design. The legs aren’t too heavy compared to the top and vice versa. I kept the sides open to continue with the simplicity and overall feel of the design. The top is poplar stained dark brown to enhance the contrast between the wood and the steel. The steel was smoothed by sanding, giving it a sharp and refined look.
